Transformation Case Sharing: Improving the Lighting Effect of the Display Cabinets of Agarwood Carving Shop

Recently, a Vietnamese customer approached Chiswear seeking to upgrade the lighting in his store. He had previously installed lights that did not effectively showcase the intricate details of the agarwood sculptures.

Transformation Plan:

Adjusting the Lighting Fixture Type: The customer had been using general ambient light strips, which only illuminated the display cases but failed to highlight the details of the exhibits. We advised the customer to use spotlight fixtures specifically designed for display cases.
Adjusting the Lighting Angle: The previous lights were installed behind the display cases, casting shadows on the exhibits when viewed from above. To address this issue, we recommended frontal lighting to better illuminate the details.
Adjusting the Lighting Color Temperature: The customer had been using cool white lights, suitable for illuminating light and bright-colored objects. However, agarwood sculptures are predominantly black and yellow, requiring warm-toned lighting. We suggested a color temperature of 3000K.

Furthermore, considering the customer’s location in Vietnam and the inconvenience of on-site transformation, we recommended using mini magnetic spotlights. These lights are easy to install, and the customer can complete the installation independently. We also provided a lighting design diagram for reference.

Once the customer received the mini magnetic spotlights, he promptly installed them. He couldn’t wait to showcase the halfway-transformed lighting effect to us. From the images, it is evident that the lighting transformation has significantly improved the visibility of the wood carving details, eliminated the overshadowing of the fixtures, and created a harmonious overall display effect.
